Strange goings on!

Last night I was sleeping on my left side and decided to turn onto my back for a min. When I turned I felt a big lump sticking out of my belly, some wriggling and then the lump was gone. Must've been the baby sleeping comfortably until I disturbed him/her! I thought that was so cute!!! Only 17 weeks along and didn't expect to feel that!
Has anyone else had a similar thing happen?

Depends on size of bump, could be Lo's head or bum, if smaller a hand or foot perhaps. I'm now 40 weeks and from 30 weeks could tell hands from feet. Enjoy.

It's the only good thing about insomnia! I've spent many a recent hour playing 'guess the body part' in the middle of the night!

A couple of weeks ago I discovered one night that by turning half way between being on my left and being on my back, I could see a clear outline of the baby's whole body! It was fab, spent ages hanging in an uncomfortable position, but I've never been able to repeat it, despite SPD meaning I regularly get stuck in that position.

Wow! That's amazing MainlyMaynie. How far along are you? I can't wait until I can see more movement.

I'm 35+1. I was about 33 weeks when I could see the outline - he moved position and his head engaged after that. Now mostly I get to see is his bottom, which he can stick very far out indeed!
