Any hope? Measuring 6wks at 10 week scan

Hi, please can anyone give me some hope or reassurance? I've just been for my 10 week scan. Gestational sac measured 9+1 but the yolk sac measured only 6+4. No heartbeat, but midwife said this not unusal at 6 weeks - but I'm not 6 weeks pregnant, I'm 10 weeks. I got a positive pregnancy test 6 weeks ago, so this isn't possible is it??

They've booked me in for another scan next week, but I can't see any way this is going to work out okay. It will be my third loss. So hard :-(

So sorry you are going through this. I experienced a mc - baby measured 6 weeks at 9 week scan. Was told to wait 2 weeks to see if there was any development but there was not. My sis also miscarried - 11 week scan showed baby stopped growing at 7 weeks.

I am sure there are some positive stories.

Oh dear I'm so sorry to hear this and i'm sure it's very hard to wait, keep strong and if it is another loss try and see if there are any tests that can be done to see why this has reoccurred. I suffered mmc this time last year 12 week scan showed no heartbeat and foetus of 9wk so I know how hard it is and my thoughts are truely with you xx

I'm so very sorry Purple.

I had similar in January. Scanned at 10+1 but baby only measuring 7 weeks and no heartbeat. Our bodies can be very cruel sometimes...... I didn't have to wait a week for another, as far as they were concerned that was it and they went through my options with me and we went from there.

I have heard stories on the Mc board where there has been a good outcome, but I think you probably know yourself as you sound confident in your dates. I know I was, there was no way I could have been 3 weeks behind.
