hiya, this is my 4th pregnancy. My 3rd was born at 33wks and spent 5 weeks in hospital. I am now 30+3. I've been experiencing braxton hicks accompanied with period like cramps from Saturday, they are not unbearable. If I hadn't had a premie before I prob wouldn't even acknowledge them! I've been given 2 doses of the steroids this time round as a precaution. The thing is they come and go sometimes with pain and sometimes without. I know I'm gonna get told to phone in but am afraid I'm over reacting! :-). Does anybody have any experience with this?

If you are worried you should call in, you are not overreacting at all but nor does it mean that labour is starting - just call in and set your mind at rest that's what doctors and midwives are for!

I carted my OH to the emergency department (France has maternity emergency departments which are your first port of call) because I hadn't felt the baby move all evening...turns out she was fine juse lazy but I wouldn't have slept all night if I hadn't had the monitoring to reassure me.

I am 30+6 and have braxton hicks what feels like all day long ! They started around 28 weeks and havent stopped. My bump goes really, really tight and makes me breathless. It happens a lot if I over do it, then again it also happens if I am just sitting here at work lol.
If you are worried though you do need to call in.

On the positive side I had this with DD2 and she shot out in an hour and a half lol
