Hi,
How many of these exercises are you all doing a day?

Our pregnancy yoga lady says we should be doing 50+!! I keep bloody forgetting to do them at all though :(

FeralGirlCambs · 18/05/2011 08:41

Um, none to a few before getting bored. Keep planning to start 'properly' (am 29 weeks) Why does it seem so difficult to get down to, when the consequences of not doing are so undesirable?!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 18/05/2011 10:44

Oh. Are we meant to do them during pregnancyas well? Bummer. When do you start? Am 20+4 should I be doing them now?

KatieWatie · 18/05/2011 11:03

Am 20wks, have been not-very-religious about doing them, probably about 10 a day, 3 days a week. Forget on the other 4 days.

God I need to start doing them!

Quite often I'll be sat in a boring meeting and remember them, do about 2 or 3, then worry everyone can tell so stop Blush

I had my booking in appointment last week, and the midwife asked me if I was doing mine. With all the reading I have a tendency to do, I can't believe I missed this one out! She advised I should be doing 60 per day, otherwise I will start 'leaking'. Nice. Have I been doing 60 per day since? I don't think so! I sometimes remember, and do about 10 - 15. They start off easy, but then after a few they actually start to make me feel sick. I sincerely hope that I can start to remember and tolerate doing them regularly, as I really don't want an incontinence problem at the age of 30.

hmmmum · 18/05/2011 11:13

I don't understand why I'm not doing them more either - they're surely worth it in the end? but I only do about 20 every 3 days. Just forget to, or I start and do about 3 before my mind drifts and I forget I'm meant to be doing them.

OdaBear · 18/05/2011 11:17

I'm sure after our lovely babies are with us and we're walking around leaking all sorts, we'll remember for next time! I'm a nurse. You'd think that incontinence would be on the forefront of my mind!

KittyChat · 18/05/2011 12:20

I have been useless, too. And last night I sneezed and I peed myself a little bit. Blush

Am frantically doing them as I type...

seasaltbaby · 18/05/2011 12:47

I was at a Physio class last week for mums to be & the recommendation was to do up to 10 exercises 5-8 times a day, holding up to 10 secs, plus 10 quick ones after.
I think it might be psychological though in that they tell you the upper limit knowing in reality we'll do much less. Or that's what I like to think! I'm trying to do it about 4 times q day, twice on my commute & that feels like plenty!

about 20, but should do more
