Maternity Wear at work - in Morrisons supermarket!

Hi, I'm going back to work on Monday after 6 weeks off with hyperemesis (16 weeks pregnant now). I work in a supermarket (Morrisons) where we have to wear these awful white short sleeved button to the collar shirts with our own black trousers. I phoned HR today and asked when I was getting my maternity shirt (I requested it 3 months ago now) and they told me they couldnt get one. They don't even know what they are going to get me to wear. I know I wont be able to buy my own one because who on earth would design a short sleeved shirt that buttons to the collar in Winter. Don't want to go in in a shirt I cant breathe in and I am already in their largest size so I cant go up one or two sizes for now.
Any suggestions anyone?

I would just wear something that fitted and I was comfortable in that was as near to what they want as possible - ie a normal white maternity shirt. Then if anyone complains you can say it's because they haven't provided a top for you

What do the men at work wear??Could you wear a mans shirt, they must come in bigger sizes.

Morrisons shirts are notoriously small. They are cut so that they get smaller on the hips not bigger, they're useless. The mens shirts are no better, another girl at work is wearing the biggest mans size and she says its no differnet to the ladies one but it just has bigger shoulders which doesnt help at all.

Think I'll just buy a similar shirt and charge them for it. Think I may have trouble getting them to cough up for one nad I would need 2 or 3 cos I work 4 nights a week and cant wash one every night.

Hmmn, anyone guess, I actually do not want to go back to work :-( but I have to work 16 hours a week for next 10 weeks to qualify for SMP. Boo Hiss.

if your only 16 weeks pregnant imagine how big ur goin to get! is it a big baby? its ridiculous they have not provided you with a shirt! you should complain to your head office they must be really tiny and there must be loads of people in your situation - im sure if someone who was just fat complained they'd get the p.c. police on2 them!
