Has anyone else had 2 pregnancies where they were sick as a dog and then a third where they felt fine? I am tired, bloated and craving fruit but no where near as ill. I've had a real shocker with my new baby, awful scans, terrible birth and two seperate trips to ICU so far. I just don't have the strength to have bad scan just yet and am hoping that someone can give me some hope!

I would love to hear other peoples experiences as well. With my first pregnancy I was pretty nauseous only sick once, but felt very sick all the time. Second pregnancy had hyperemesis and ended up in hospital twice. I'm now 5+3 and am feeling nauseous but nothing like last time, and if anything probably better than my first pregnancy, am also worried something isnt right as I had been told by my GP that morning sickness usually gets worse with each pregnancy. I'm going for an early scan a week tomorrow so hoping will have some reassurance or confirmation things aren't right then.

How far along are you?

yes, my first two i was sick daily for over 20 weeks, this one nothing! nothing has been wrong with the pregnancy, i just got lucky with it for once so hopefully the same for you

I'm surprised to hear the theory that morning sickness gets worse with each pregnancy. Mine was definately much better with pg2 than with pg1, and also it stopped much earlier in the pregnancy (which I worried over rather than just enjoying it!).

I'm sure it's all fine, good luck.

Yes first 2 really ill, ended up in hospital with HE in 2nd this one i have had a about 5 days of being sick and feel a little nauseous in the evening but that's it and i'm 12 weeks. I'm so pleased had decided no no3 for me because i couldn't go through the sickness again so so far this is very pleasant.

I'm in the fortunate position of being able to use the doppler to find the babies heartbeat at work as no sickness has made me quite worried on a few occasions but for the last 2 weeks i've been able to have a listen. I still haven't seen a MW though Hmm as The one i should see is off on long term sick, supposed to see them next week.

I was the other way round..... my first two nothing, but with dd I was sick several times a day. Not as bad this time, but nauseous 24/7 and sick a couple of times.

First two were boys and then dd. Mw said it made a difference that she was a girl, and also the boys father is xh. Was also told no. 3 is generally the "awkward" one!

Phew. Thanks guys for sharing your stories. It's heartening to hear that they can all be so different! Now, just have to wait until the first scan. I've booked it for 9w+3. Should definitely be big enough by then for no false negatives!
