Bedding for cot...fed up of pastels!!

Can anyone help please?! We don't know if we're having a boy or a girl so we're trying to go for unisex colours in the "nursery" (in reality a bit of the spare room) Grin. We don't want to spend loads of money decorating, so we've gone for a wallpaper border from Mamas and Papas in the half price sale, and a couple of the canvas prints, also half price. These go with the paint already on the wall and the curtains we've got.

Now, I know I'm probably being a bit PFB and retentive about the whole thing Blush, but I would really like some sheets and blankets for the cot that match the colour scheme - green, red and orange. However, the matching range of bedding in M&P's is enormously expensive (IMO) and the pastel shades of cream and lemon available for separate sheets and blankets, etc really don't do it for me...

Any ideas anyone? Where can I get brightly coloured sheets and blankets from, without spending a fortune? Has anyone tried dyeing white sheets in the washing machine?

Ahhh - thanks for all the replies. The textiles section looks great online, so will waddle off there this weekend to stock up. Thanks ladies - they were exactly the kind of thing I had in mind. Grin
