OOoohhh, new buddies! Where are you both planning to have the babs?

Hello ...well it has to be Worcester hosptial for me really. I'm not from the area originally (lived here 6 years) so haven't even been there before. I hear bad things about car park but know a few peeps who have had their babies there and no probs so fingers crossed it is ok.

My big worry is how long it takes to drive there. I'd say 25 mins without traffic BUT they're doing never ending roadworks and it's the only road. Pretty crappy that they downgraded Kiddy hospital. They've been great for scans etc.

How about you both?

Hi,

Im due to have mine at birmingham womens as I previously went to russells hall, and to be honest would never recommend anyone go there as they made so many errors, my DS is lucky to be here.

Due Nov 5th

wantstoremainunknown · 16/05/2011 21:37

UtterlyMonkey · 17/05/2011 21:57

Hello Unknown! Welcome Grin and hi everyone!
I don't live in Stourbridge yet, (but will do from July-ish) and aside from living in Kingswinford, I work and play in Birmingham 5 days a week. Would love to meet some lovely mums-to-be in the area.

err..what's the story with Russell's Hall, as I think that's where I'll be going? Confused

Is anyone doing antenatal yoga on here?

OP posts:
ct148 · 18/05/2011 11:13

Hi local ladies!

I'm in Birmingham so not far at all. I'm due Aug 25th with my first - dont know what we're having though! Really hoping for a homebirth - but otherwise it's Good Hope in Sutton for me.

UtterlyMonkey I'm doing antenatal yoga, I really enjoy it. Was interested in doing aquanatal but can't seem to find any local swimming baths who do it.

Hi, Cut a long story short first baby died midwives didnt even notice I was in labour even though I told them, by the time they realised she was halfway out and breech, died the next day due to complications.

Second baby, same kind of story went onto labour, they didnt believe me again! went to send me home, I refused, had DS 30 mins later.

I asked doctor to send me to birmingham womans this time, would never trust them again.

Sorry if this is a horror story for you, and I do realise that every hospital has good and bad stories, and I have heard good stories from the same hospital too. But the way I see it, they mess up once yes that happens and maybe they will look after me better next time. I was wrong.

UtterlyMonkey · 23/05/2011 12:41

Wow. That's bad. Sorry to hear that Anon :-( Did you complain??

CT148 - I've just started Body Balance - a combi of yoga, pilates and tai-chi at my local gym. I would love to do AquaAerobics, so will have a snoop around...

I'm only 6+1 but feel bloated! Anyone else felt the same?

Fionamitch · 29/06/2011 13:01

Hi guys, there's a Pilates class running in Stourbridge for pregnant ladies on a Saturday morning. It runs at BodyBalance. Great, safe work out with useful hints and tips from a mum who's had two great home water births.....maybe another option to consider.

Hi everyone (if anyone is still watching this thread!) I'm in Worcester...and rootatoot the parking at Worcester hospital can be horrendous (i.e. no spaces) - but there are drop off places and sometimes I find that A&E parking is much emptier than the main hospital parking! If your chosen chauffeur doesn't mind a bit of a walk there are places where you can park which are on local residential streets but be considerate because there has been a big issue since the new hospital opened with people parking across local residents' driveways etc (I know - who would do that, right? But there you go!)... :)

MrsCog · 12/07/2011 20:32

Hi, again, if anyone is still on this thread, I'm 5+4 (so still so early) and near Stourbridge :)
