Vivid dream revealing sex of baby

Last night had very vivid dream that we had a baby boy, one of those dreams that seems so real when u wake up. I am 32 weeks and have left the sex of the baby as a surprise. Anyone else had this, did it turn out to be right? Wondering if it's intuition or a nonsense dream.

Have it all the time. Varies from night to night! And I know this is a boy (and the last!)

I had two dreams that told me my baby was a girl. 20 weeks scan said it was a definitely a boy, so my dream was a nonsense one. That's not to say yours is also nonsense, though...

Thanks guys that puts it in perspective.

Someone on the ante-natal group that I'm on dreamt she had given birth to a cormorant. Hmm

I had the same when pregnant with DS1 and it did turn out to be right. It also looked really like he looked by the time he was about 8 months old and I look back on that dream and am amazed - it was more of a premonition!

I had 2 vivid dreams that it was a girl, and our 20 week scan confirmed that was the case. I'm hoping that vivid dreams are right most of the time, because in one of mine, I delivered her with no pain at all, and she was out in 2 pushes. :)

Did with both and both were correct. Also had similar when dsis was pregnant and right both times [witch]

the other day i had a vivid dream of having a girl, but i am actually having a boy according to scan so i think it can be just something random

Three weeks before DD was born she told me her name in a dream. Before this I was convinced she was a boy. The name she told me is what she's called, but it wasn't on the list of names we had.

I didn't dream I was having a boy with my last pregnancy, I just knew that he was going to be a he.

My sister recently had a baby boy, which I also correctly predicted - not through a dream, but through a brief vision I had when I met up with her three weeks before he was born (there's a three-week theme here!!).

Sorry, that was a bit rambling....

i never had a dream that i'm having a boy, but at 14 weeks when the midwife listened in to his heartbeat for the first time i had an over-whelming sense of male presence. I already had a pretty strong feeling it was a boy, but at this point started calling him a boys name which i didnt think about it was just his name, as it he had revealed his identity to me [another witch]...and scan confirmed it was indeed a little boy. that said he's not due til the beginning of september and they are never 100% sure.....

I didn't find out the sex of my baby until she was born. At about 32 weeks (up until which I was convinced it was a boy), I had a very vivid dream that I was outside of myself looking at my bump which was see through, and inside was a little girl (in a pale pink babygro nonetheless!) with dark hair and huge blue eyes. I had a feeling after that, that bump was in fact a girl and upon her birth and her being handed to me, she also had a full head of dark hair and huge blue eyes.

Jaspants · 15/05/2011 21:06

Actually just remembered dsis and I are both dark, as are my DCs and pretty much everyone in our family, but when I dreamt about DN I was cuddling a little blonde boy in a blue babygrow - DN is very very blonde which was a complete surprise.

seeksnewnamewithgsoh · 15/05/2011 21:18

My dreams switched between girl and boy. I think overall, the girl dreams won. The most vivid was where I gave birth to a 12lb, bright pink, blonde haired boy named Ben (not a name on our list) at 35-ish weeks. The other most vivid was me in a garden with a toddler girl, wearing a green dress with orange and white flowers and frilly cardigan and socks.

I had a DD. She'll be one in a couple of weeks. I found the dress from my dream in John Lewis a couple of weeks ago. And she's toddling

I suppose that means I'm having a fasto blonde boy next time Grin

50% chance you're dream will come true. Beats Britains Got Talent.

When I was pg with DS1, I had the most vivid dream at about 10 weeks pg that I was having a boy. I thought I wanted a girl but because of the dream, I kind of got used to the idea that I was having a boy so would actually have been disappointed at the 20-week scan if the sonographer had said we were having a girl Confused

As it was, it was a boy - I can't remember the specifics of the dream but the fact that it was a boy is still so vivid 5 years later Smile

Didn't have anything like that with DS2 though Hmm

apricotears · 15/05/2011 21:56

I once had a dream that I gave birth to a beaver... which proceeded to attack me Hmm I would take it with a grain of salt, erring on the side of caution. Don't begin decorating the nursery blue based on the dream- lol!

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 15/05/2011 22:01

I had a dream that my DS was a boy when i was about 26wks, and that he had ginger hair like my late Dad, my DS is now nearly 2.5 and has lovely ginger hair, so take what you will from it?! x

EightiesChick · 15/05/2011 22:03

I had one very vivid dream only, and it was wrong. All bets are off where dreams are concerned I reckon.
