Kirkland washing powder for baby wash

We've got some Ecover that I'm going to use for first wash of baby's things, but I am just planning on using this until I figure out if we need to use different detergent to our usual.

At the moment we use Costco's Kirkland Signature Laundry Detergent. We find this powder really good - it causes no probs for us and I do get quite sensitive skin (and it works out at about 1/4 price of branded powders!), but I'm just not sure it's OK for baby stuff.

So... I was wondering if anyone else uses Costco's Kirkland Signature Laundry Detergent and if it's non-bio?

In the warehouse it says 'non-bio' on the shelf label but there's no info at all on the actual tub. Although MIL says that if it was 'bio' it would be plastered all over it.

Also, should we use fabric softener?

any help would be appreciated. x
