Lillie Hullah has too many 'l's - it's a really hard name to hear if you say it quickly - are you sure?

Otherwise Rae or Anne?

This is why pregnant women should not name babies.

cece · 14/05/2011 17:57

Isn't it spelt Lily?

And it doesn't go with your last name - too many l s!

Were there any other first names that you like?

Booboostoo · 14/05/2011 17:57

We're going for Lilly Charlotte, but maybe that's too French? (we're in France so should be OK). The plan is to call her Lilly, but if that doesn't suit her personality she could always be a Charlie. A friend's baby is Liliana which is lovely as well.

UrsulaBuffay, sorry I don't get why that comment is supposed to be funny and if it's not funny it's quite rude IMO.

candr · 14/05/2011 18:16

Nothing with an L in it and be careful if you pick something short as it will sound hyphonated, it will be a while before she is able to pronounce her own full name though just as a heads up. Good luck

lolajane2009 · 14/05/2011 18:30

Rose?

vickylou2004 · 14/05/2011 19:30

May, Grace, Eve...

goodegg · 14/05/2011 19:47

I'm not keen on the way you're spelling it, I prefer Lily. Middle names I like May or Rose?

lucamom · 14/05/2011 20:25

My Goddaughter is Lillie Jemima - same spelling as you x

niceday · 14/05/2011 20:28

Billie Bullah

Sorry, I coundn't help it Blush

Shuang · 14/05/2011 21:36

Ann?

VivaLeBeaver · 14/05/2011 21:39

Mai

Mum2be79 · 14/05/2011 21:40

Lillie Beth Hullah
Lillie Ella Hullah (I know you didn't like the idea of too many 'l's but it's quite nice!)

Lillie Eve Hullah
Lillie Alice Hullah
Lillie Marie Hullah (A bit of french in there)

I think it's quite fun choosing names. Let us know what you decide.

And for the record, I like 'Lillie' as opposed to 'Lily'. It makes it unique.

MissCKitty · 14/05/2011 21:40

I like Lillie May Smile

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/05/2011 21:42

I like lillie may, but I know of two others, it is very popular at the moment which might put you off

lucamom · 14/05/2011 22:33

I also know quite a few girls with May/Mai as middle names (lily May, Ellie May, Jessica May, Ava May etc) - seems really popular (might not be an issue for you though)

dana4nyc · 15/05/2011 09:41

My DD is named Lily Eloyce. Her middle name is my Grandmother's name. Most people mistake it for Eloise but the 'oyce' bit is pronounced like Joyce. Hope that makes sense.

MrsNJDrury · 15/05/2011 10:57

Lilly Mai Hulla I like that and it breaks the L's up abit too :)

tavish · 16/05/2011 19:02

Thx guys was a bit disheartened at first with replies but the more i read the better i felt. I think for now its Lillie Mai but all could change once we see her it might not suit her at all.

DP's Nan is a Lily-May, it's a beautiful name, regardless of spelling. :)

Flisspaps · 16/05/2011 19:35

May is a nice middle name.

Think carefully about using unusual spellings though, although they appear 'unique' they also mean you and DD will spend forever explaining to people that it's not spelt Lilly May or Lilly Mae :)

pregnantmimi · 17/05/2011 00:16

lilly may or lilly mary sound lovely my sisters daughter is called kitty mary and it sounds lovely

Marlinspike · 17/05/2011 00:24

Lily Jean is not my lover
She's just the girl who tells them I am the one
(ooh oh)
The kid is not my son

(sorry, I am a little overtired!)

humph123 · 17/05/2011 18:58

Lily Rose.
