How big will my baby be? (gulp)

I just had our third ultrasound on Monday, at 32+3 weeks. The doctor says the baby already weighs 2.26 kg (4.97 lbs) and has a slightly larger head than average. At the last ultrasound they said her head was small, so go figure.
Anyways, I'm kind of worried my baby's going to weigh a ton at birth - is this how it usually turns out, or could her weight gain taper off between now and then?

I had a scan on Tuesday at exactly the same gestation (32+3) & the weight estimate they gave me was 1998g, so a bit smaller than your baby - they said that was about the 60th centile, so not massive & estimated (I have another scan in 2 weeks so it may well change) he'd be about 3.5-3.7kg at delivery (c-section booked at 37+6 weeks). He's gained 600g from my last scan 2 weeks ago.

I had a scan on tuesday too, 32+4. The babys head circumference and femur length is on the 97 centile and abdominal circumference is way off the chart. I was sooooo shocked as she was on the small size at the 20 week scan, i dont understand either. Ive got to go for another scan at 35+4 to see whether her growth has stabilised - lets hope so because i really want a natural birth!! (its my first baby)

I put all my measurements into an internet baby weight calculator and it came out that she was already 6lbs Shock but they are notoriously off the mark.

Im also worried about my baby weighing a ton a birth, maybe our little ones have just had a growth spurt a bit early?? I was expecting to have a gestational diabetes test but im not showing any signs and there was not sugar or protein in my urine so it looks like im just cooking a monster Grin

To be fair my mothers side of the family are all men over 6 ft 4, im 5 ft 9 and my partners 6 ft 1 so it could be a genetic thing. Are you from a tall family??

No, I'm not!
Thanks for sharing the estimate you were given for the birth - the doctor here told me it's 'impossible to guess that'. Whatever. I'm hoping it's a spurt too!
I think, psychologically, knowing her weight has made her feel heavier inside me, as well.
