I am making blunder after blunder at the moment and feel like such an idiot. I am nearly 27 weeks pg and am at work as a service co-ordinator. I have so far managed to send out an engineer to a different part of the country, have lost the company 2K by calling out the worng sub-contractor and generally am being useless. This is not like me! I am normally more organised. I can't even remember what somebody told me 10 seconds ago. My boss has not b*llocked me but has said he is 'disappointed' with my carelessness

Don't worry, it's perfectly natural....I had Ds 20 mths ago and am 23 weeks pg...I have been stupid now for a very long time (29mths!!!)

You do lose some brain cells when pregnat and the majority do come back - eventually

it gets worse (sorry but you have a right to know) try not to drive if ur like me i was driving a road i knew and in my head i saw 2 lanes when there was 1 luckily i saw a car coming towards me and got back in where i was. the other day i got in the car ready for work was really organised for a change started the car then realised dd was still in her cot.

any1 know when this will end

Chloe55 · 09/11/2005 16:12

LOL Lizzylou! I hate feeling this way though when I am trying to be all professional, it is a mainly male company too so I don't think they appreciate that it happens in pg.

Even if they don't you find a way to manage - when you have a child silly things like 2k seem irrelevant and stupid anyway.

Chloe55 · 09/11/2005 16:13

Tell me about the driving Starshaker! I have so far managed to bump the car twice in 4 months and always used to consider myself a fairly decent driver

I forget people's names, lose track of conversations and what I am saying halfway through...make silly blunders all the time.
All Mom's I mix with are the same, you should hear some of the conversations at Aquanatal!! I think that there's too much going on to be able to cope with everything...the company will survive!

Hee hee, just had to ask what the pub opposite us is called to give someone directions, bear in mind I have been here for over a year and have regularly drunk in that pub

Bet your male colleagues are rolling their eyes in a "blooming hormonal woman" way....

Chloe55 · 09/11/2005 16:32

Yeah no doubt Lizzy. Have emailed DH to tell him what I have done and he has told me to take a step back when I get flustered and then perhaps I won't make as many mistakes - thing is, I'm not even flustered! I feel like Homer Simpson at the moment!

when i was pg i took our cordless home phone out with me thinking it was my mobile. when i realised, i tried to use it to call my dp at home to tell him.
a)it was 6 miles out of range.
b) i dialled our home number - ie the number of the phone i was using.
DOH!

starandsnowshaker · 09/11/2005 18:18
