Just wondering as I'm 18 weeks today and was sure I felt something the other night as I was lying in bed on my back and really concentrating!! Is there a time or position that's more likely to have baby moving about? I so want to feel him/her....

I used to go upstairs and lie quietly on my bed to feel him. It was about that many weeks too. I didn't feel fluttering though - it felt like something was flicking me from the inside.

Isn't it wonderful? :)

18 weeks. In cinema, watching just go with it. I wasn't 100% sure, but then I felt about 6 in a row the next day whilst sitting in my sil house

I had just sat down on a train and felt something like little balls rolling around inside. I think that was at around 18 weeks.

i had just watched one born every minute, and was lieing on my bed, watching the credits, when suddenly i felt it.

It was really magical Smile and i was about 16 weeks i think.... only felt sporadically for the next 2 weeks, then a bit more, and now im 22 1/2 weeks and have been feeling it regularly throughout the day, every day, for about 3 weeks now

I was watching OBEM too, at around 18 weeks. Just a slight sensation but I soon found that I could make it happen whenever I wanted by drinking very cold water. Now (at 35 +3) the baby moves all of time, I don't think that it is going to be much of a sleeper when it's born! Grin

New years eve 1999. We were at a party and staying overnight in a hotel. I had made it to midnight without falling asleep standing up so we did all the happy new year hugs and kisses with friends and went to the room where bf aka dickhead (now Xbf thank god) announced in a very drunken state that he was going back down to chat to a few friends who were leaving early the next morning (translates to 'I am a greedy fecker and I don't just want to be a little drunk, I want to get totally wasted as usual')

I was upset and crying thinking what an asshole he was and how I was going to make a relationship with him work with a little baby on the way. I felt so alone and hurt and then it happened. I was lying on my back in the bed and my little girl at 16wks gestation let me know I was not alone. I stilled cried my eyes out but they were happy tears then. I talked to her and for a while she 'talked' back then we both went to sleep. Smile

It was last week Grin I'm 16 weeks today and last Thursday night I'd just gone to bed in a vile mood as my in laws were here and dong my head in. I curled up on my side and felt something nudging me! Since then I've felt them a few times, it's not coinciding with anything that could be producing similar sensations so pretty sure it's the baby making itself known!

16.5 weeks, in passenger seat of car. Felt something slide across my lower stomach. The next night, I was woken up by what felt like a washing machine in my tummy. Baby was swirling round for ages!

:) Happy days
:( will I ever feel that again??

Cannulating a five-year-old during a relatively peaceful night shift at 18+weeks at around 2am! My face must have given something away as the child's dad asked if everything was ok once I'd finished - had to explain :)
