I'm sure I've read this somewhere so I hope someone can help! I'm looking at one of the philips avent sterilisers but a different make of breastpump. Or would I need a philips avent breast pump too so it fits inside the steriliser?

And any advice on the best ones to get would be appreciated!!

Thanks! xx

I think it more to do with making sure the bottles fit in the steraliser and fit the pump as well but it is confusing...I got all philips advent stuff from ebay, I decided i wanted one of their pumps anyway and then got the straliser second hand for £1 +P&P. I figured it would be okay as it is supposed to be good at steralising things! :)

Hi Tealdoe, I bought the Philips Avent steriliser and the Avent breastpump for practicality - the Avent breastpump fits all of the Philips bottles & the bottles fit the steriliser IYSWIM? :) Hope this helps!

ITs easier in terms of fitting it into the steriliser but imo the medela pumps are better than the Avent ones and Medela dont do a steriliser!

I wouldnt buy your pump just yet , wait and see how you go with feeding first. You may find that you dont need or want one and they are alot of money to spend if you dont use it.

Great, thanks everyone! Think I might wait until baby is here then for the pump and see how I go.

Tealdoe, I would hang fire with the steriliser too because if you do well with BF then you wont really need one!
