Oh lovey. It's miserable. Have you asked your midwife/GP about anti-sickness medication?

I found it got better around 16 weeks if that helps. But I know there's no guarantee.

I have an appt on Friday so am going to ask. Sick 3 to 4 times a day. Lost half a stone at least- prob more in first few weeks but baby has taken it back up!

This is definitely last one!

Only food that stays down is Chinese and crunchy nut cornflakes!

Fingers cross led it improves soon like yours did

I'm 20 weeks and still sick a couple of times a week but SOOOOOOOOOO much better than it was.

Hoep you start to feel better soon x

PrincessScrumpy · 12/05/2011 13:53

16 weeks was the point I started feeling human again. I find I feel nauseaus if I'm tired but nothing like what it was. Look after yourself. Ooooh, and I found Coca cola helped - not ideal with caffiene and sugar but it got me started each day - yep, it was my breakfast drink! We don't normally have fizzy drinks in the house!

Sick many times a day until 15 weeks, then once a day until 16 weeks, then a couple of times a week still (am 19 +3)

I hope you start to feel better soon - I really do sympathise it's horrible!

My top tip - once you DO start feeling better, TAKE IT EASY! I found that when I was being sick several times a day it was easy to slow down, otherwise I threw up. But once I started to feel better I sped up again. Which eventually made me sick again...

It's so frustrating to be so ill so soon in pregnancy! I expected to be slower etc. in the last couple of months but I didn't expect it to take over my life quite so quickly!

Hi, I have just had dd3 and was astonishingly sick in this pregnancy. Chinese food stayed down for me too and babybels!!

I ended up seeing a consultant for something unrelated and mentioned it to her, she was the only health professional apart from a Dr at the beginning who took it seriously. Midwives were a bit "Oh you know, one of those things" Hmm. Anyway consultant gave me a tip, take Gaviscon regularly throughout the day, even if you are not suffering from heartburn, indigestion, sometimes you can get a build up of acid and as soon as food hits it, it just comes straight back up again. Good luck, and take it easy.

I had HG

it seemed to start to get better at 16 weeks

Im now 22 weeks and havent felt really poorly for about 3 or 4 weeks now (I feel like ME again Grin)
still being sick every 2nd / 3rd day
at around 17 weeks, i had a blissful 4 sick free days in a row, but havent repeated that since!

LaWeasel · 12/05/2011 16:36

Erm, no comment.

But - please try and sleep as much as possible! I have really found this helps second time around. I wish I hadn't been doing quite so much when I was PG with DD and maybe I could have skipped a few of the several times a day vom sessions for 7 months.

Thank you everyone. Seeing midwife and then doc tomorrow. I suffer from heartburn at best of times and I know this isn't helping sickness. Roll on next Friday when I can just chill as no work or uni!!!

On a more positive note I'm sure i have felt movements over last few days..... Will all be worth it!
