Ok, so I am 19wks+5 with my 1st. Since I woke up this morning (around 6am), I have a shooting pain in the top of my belly sometimes to the bottom part as well. It kinds of builds up and then after really strong pain it goes away (for a little while).

First thing in the morning I didn't have any problems with going to the toilets (for both things). I booked a doctor appointment who prescribed me medicine for heartburns when I know it isn't as I have suffered from heartburns earlier and this is so not heartburns.

I took the medicine he prescribed but it hasn't helped at all, now the gross part I am sorry is that since coming back from the doctor whenever I go to the loo, it is all liquid (I warned you), like having a wee from my bum...and I am getting pains in my legs and hips as well. I have to go to the loo every 10/15mins.

I have been sleeping in bed most of the day (which is very unlike me) and now as it doesn't seem to stop, I am getting worried that it may be food poisining (We went out to Just Desserts last night).

What would you do? Should I worry or should I let it go by itself?

I have tried to ring my antenatal clinic but there is not answer.

Thank you and sorry if I did put you off your dinner...

You have some kind of bug in your stomach. The pain is starting high up because that's where your stomach is squished up to atm. The liquid poo is your body getting rid of the bug. It could be food poisoning or it could be a viral gastro thing. You do need to stay hydrated, this is your main concern. The pains in your legs and hips could be a number of things. The strain of going so much or something like dehydration. I know when I've had gastro bugs my muscles around my stomach and thighs have really hurt for days. It's a fairly violent expulsion reflex.

I'd perhaps nip and see the doctor as your symptoms have changed but it sounds exactly like a gastrobug. And you'll feel about ten times worse as you're pregnant.
