Heavy bleeding after section

I had my baby over five weeks ago by section. I had grade 4 placenta previa.
I've been bleeding lightly up til now but today I've bled very heavily. More heavily than in the days after the section. I do bleed more if I do anything active but I haven't done anything particularly active today. Should I be concerned?

Could it actually be your first period? I had my first period at 6 weeks exactly after my c-section.

I'd contact your gp, it could be a problem with an infection or something, worth getting checked.
