I'm 37 weeks pregnant and it has suddenly occurred to me that I am ridiculously unprepared for the new arrival. I have bought a crib but I haven't got a clue what I need bedding-wise. Theres so many different blankets/sheets on offer but I don't know what I need! Please help. Thanks :)

My dd is 14 months and so far has only used a blanket which was given to her as a gift when born and a fitted cotton bed sheet.

I have a whole cupboard full of bedding as we got a little carried away and bought the entire range from mama's and papa's. Why we thought she would need a duvet when newborn and living in dubai is beyond me Hmm Blush.

You just need fitted sheets a minimum of 2, a swaddling blanket if that is what you intend to do and maybe a light blanket if LO decides she hates swaddling like my dd did.

Not sure if this helps any, i think what im trying to say is you don't really need too much at all!

A couple of fitted sheets
A couple of small cotton cellular blankets for the crib
blanket for the pram

when the baby is older you could get sleeping bags, extra blankets.

I started with 2 fitted and 2 flat sheets, and a whole pile of celluar blankets that we were given by my DSiL. Grin Right from when she was tiny, we tucked DD in using one of the flat sheets sideways, and added a blanket when needed. We used sleeping bags for a while, but now (18mo) she has fleece sleep suits.
