Hi, I am 22 weeks pregnant and over the past few days I have had pain on my right side. the pain woke me and it was very uncomfortable to lie on that side and walk. The first time eased after going to the loo but today it seems to be lasting. Has anyone else had this and do you think I should get it checked out? Not sure if it is wind or what but starting to worry a bit now. Thanks

I had this. MW said it was just ligament pain and your body adjusting to fit baby in. Call her if your concerned but I don't think it's any thing to worry about. It also might be worth getting your pee checked for a UTI.

I've had this and pain all over my bump for days, but the MW just said it was my body adjusting and if the pain got worse I should rest and/or take a paracetamol.

Hope it settles for you but try not to worry. Definitely ask your MW if you get concerned. xx

Definately get it checked out. I waited about 5 days (thinking it was growing pains) and got told off by my gyne because "it's a UTI" and they're serious (can cause miscarriage)...except the lab results came back negative so I had to go to hospital to get scanned and see that baby is ok.....

Conclusion : my pains really are just growing pains BUT the doctor signed me off for a week so I can rest, and this is definately helping. But if your pain is a UTI it's best to get it checked and get antibiotics because they are serious.

Hope it's ok for you

Urinary Tract Infection
Can cause contractions which can lead to miscarriage or premature labour.

Very common in pregnant women, ways to avoid it include drinking lots of water, wearing cotton pants etc.

Usually goes away easily with antibiotics.

One of the major symptoms is burning when peeing.

yep im the same as you, im only 13 weeks and had to see the doctor today and mine was a UTI but there sending me for a scan tomorrow just to make sure everythings ok. Honestly thought i was having a miscarriage, the pain was unreal.
I had loads of UTI when pregnant with my 1st and ended up in hospital 3 times and its true what fluffy donkey says about prem labour as i had my baby 3weeks and 4 days early!!!!
I know it tastes horrible but cranberry jucie helped me and also avoid using perfumed products in the bath, friends bought me a lush gift box at my baby shower and that didnt help haha who said pregnancy is fun!!!
Good luck huni hope you feel better soon xx

Depending where on your right side it could be constipation? That was one my dr's theories but she settled on ligament pain - was a 22 weeks too. Definately worth checking out, hope the call goes well
