I'm pregnant. Only 5 weeks, so not telling anyone yet except mumsnetters. Works out, I conceived on our honeymoon. Ds will be 23mths when this one is born. Sorry, I'm waffling, just really pleased.

bluecow · 29/09/2003 15:10

Fantastic. Even better that you conceived on honeymoon. How fab is that?!

Thanks everyone.
We went to the Lakes for the weekend. So what do you think of Windermere? More for a girl than a boy?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Fantastic news - and so difficult not to go and shout it from the rooftops! (not that I got anywhere near 12 weeks before I started telling people..!)

GeorginaA · 29/09/2003 15:51

congratulations!!!!!!

We'll keep your secret; I remember being asked by lots of people at my 37th birthday party 'what have you been up to' and having to conceal the news of that thin blue line!

Best of luck - started feeling queasy yet?

snowbird · 29/09/2003 15:58

I'm not feeling too bad at the moment. I just have sore boobs. I was lucky with ds1 in that I was only sick the once, I'm hoping history repeats itself!

Lovely stuff snowbird. Big congrats. We told everyone the minute we found out (also at 5weeks), admittedly it could have back-fired but I really couldn't keep it in, I was soooooooo excited

Our friend (who is currently 6 weeks preg with baby 2) told us about her first pregnancy (DD now 9mo) at her husbands 30th birthday bash. She wanted to keep it quiet for another few weeks (she was 9wks at the time) but we'd all noticed that she wasn't drinking (unusual for her at a party) and the chinese whispers had already started. I said to my DH the min I noticed that she'd been nursing a lemonade for an hour 'I reckon **'s pregnant'. Then lo and behold, 20 mins later they made the announcement
