37 weeks and my back is killing me - all I want to do is lie flat on my back on the floor to relieve it but obv this is not good, are there any other alternative positions?

I feel like my back is crumbling! No chance of a massage until DP is back later tonight

Any ideas on a comfy position?

you can lie on your back if you place something as a wedge under your left side, a cushion for example.

Any chance of going for a swim and floating in the pool to take some of the weight off? Or even taking a warm bath?

yes can get in the bath later on

it's not the weight really (still lighter than pre-preg and have quite a neat bump due to hyperemesis) it's more my posture, my bump all feels very internal IYKWIM, so everything else is squished up under my ribs and I can't seem to stop my back arching. Straightening up just feels like I'm squishing the baby.

try sitting backwards on a dining room chair or an exercise ball if you have one. It takes the weight off your hips. Any chance you could splash out on a professional massage? I had a few and told them to really go for it in one particular spot and it helped for about 10 days afterwards.

I second a birthing/yoga ball...best investment ever! Except now when ever i moan about my back hurting DH just gets the ball and I don't get any sympathy at all! :o

yes I do have a ball, will try lying on that when I get home too, thanks

It's mning sitting at my desk work that's killing my back I think. Unfortunately there's not much I can do at work standing up but on the plus side my last day is Weds
