Quick question - 32 week scan, full bladder??

Hi ladies, ive got my 32 week scan tomorrow (double checking a large kidney measurement from 20 week scan) and i forgot to ask whether or not i have to have a full bladder. Tried to ring hospital but constantly engaged, im thinking not as my bump is big and i would of thought baby would be easy to see.

Any idea anyone? I hope not because i cant go 15 mins without needing to go at the moment!! baby thinks my bladder is a trampoline Blush

Thanks

Fairly sure you do not need a full bladder after the 12 week scan. I had scans at 21 and 35 weeks and I am almost 100% sure that I did not!
Can you ring them to check?

Nooooo, is it not permanently full by now??

I had a scan at 34 weeks and bladder was most definitely empty Grin!

Thanks for replies, i have tried ringing again a few times but cant get through.
Im not going to worry about bladder anymore, theres no way i can drink a pint of water, drive to hospital and sit there waiting without needing to wee, hospital is 20 mins drive away, cant possibly hold it for that long Blush

I had a scan at 30 weeks and didn't bother with the full bladder. Nobody said anything and they worked out what they needed to, so it must have been fine!

had one about 30 weeks and didn't need a full bladder

I have a 34 week appointment and was told by both sonographer and receptionist mine has to be full. They require a full bladder for all scans except internal ones here. Definatly worth ringing, or going full and asking because you can always empty it once there if not needed.

Not necessary here. I even had to completely empty my bladder during my 12 week scan as it was obscuring the view.

Never had a full bladder for any later scans and was asked to empty before my early scans. Wouldnt have thought it was necessary at your later stage
