If you've had a show, how long before labour started?

i'm curious as i've had 2x CS and so has my friend so between us we have no experience of this. She's got an ECS booked for late next week but had a show today.

Does it mean labour is imminent or weeks away?

not sure, as all of mine (3) have happened when I knew labour had definitely got going

Didn't have it with DD1, but with DD2 labour kicked off 6 hours later .

She's had really strong BH all week and tummy upset too. I'm wondering if she'll last another week!! (am her birthing partner which explains how involved I am )

Had a show at midnight and again in the morning. Full on labour by early afternoon and delivered at 6am the following morning.

I was already in labour when I had my show, but this was at 33 weeks.

eeks i'd better not drink too much post 7pm wine then in case i'm needed to make the hospital run!

Can she still opt for CS if it's elective and she's in labour early? I have no idea about that - hope so because it will be what she has psyched herself up for....

Last time I had a show I had my first contraction 1 hour later and gave birth within 5 hours. Good luck!

they actually moved her ELCS to later next week as hospital is so full

they say if she goes into labour they will do it as an emergency CS.

Eight days and counting...

That said, I seem to be having one again today , so who knows what might happen over the next day or so?
