Thrush

I am writing this in here as I am due to test either tomorrow or sunday and if I am pg I don't want to have done anything wrong.

I have a YI which started yesterday. DH bought me some natural yoghurt to put down there (only externally) like I usually do but I don't know if this is something that I can't do if I do happen to be pg.

Any thoughts.

I had Thrush at 26 weeks and used the yoghurt on MW advise and it was fine but just to cool the outside area and not to incert in anyway.

Hope it clears up soon its horrid.

You can also use normal thrush remedies - I've had thrush so bad it bled because of antibiotics and have been given canesteen by a midwife.

I had thrush when I found out I was pg. I went to the GP to have a swab done. I wanted to make sure it was thrush and not BV, which can be dangerous in pg if left untreated. It was just thrush so the GP gave me Canesten pessary and cream.

Sorry if TMI but, I suffered thrush pre-pregnancy for years until I shaved all my ladygarden off. Completely. Never had a problem since. And, even though I am 37+1 and haven't seen my bits in months, I am still shaving. Tad worried it isn't the neatest job but prefer that to the ongoing irritation of thrush! Smile
