Last Friday (April 29th) I went into hospital with some bleeding, and I'd had a large red clot, which was a mixture of old and fresh blood. The midwives agreed it was probably my show, as I'd been having quite a bit of snotty discharge for a few days beforehand, as well as some period-type pains.

Fast forward a week, I'm still having lots of period-y pains, which are getting stronger, and seem to happen more often (although there's no kind of pattern to it, they just come and go every so often, sometimes accompanied by Braxton Hicks, other times not). After walking round Tesco for an hour with these pains almost constantly, I went to the loo and now have a load of slightly yellowish knicker snot (sorry). Can I be having a show again? Or is it just some left over from before? I'm 38+5.

Sounds like it! More likely to be a bit of the original show- don't think you'd get two.

Exciting though, doesn't sound like you're far off!

I'm experiencing all that you have described pinkygirly - BH keep coming and going, but nothing seems to be starting :-(
