Hi All,

I am due on 21/12 - and am six weeks pregnant - symptom wise, it's not been too bad, apart from the extreme grumpyness, over-sensitivity, tender breasts, and TIREDNESS... oh an ridiculously picky about food...

Last tuesday I began to bleed a little - which wound up in a trip to the Early Pregnancy Unit - Emmy the Embryo looks fine - heartbeat is all ok... but am so paranoid about something going wrong!! Fellow pregnant people to share paranoia with would be great!

Am also having debates with DH about names... girl's is sorted, but we can't agree on a boy's name...

Would love to say Hi to anyone else due December time... especially if they live in Kent/London.

Lizz

Yep,

is indeed the first!
DH and I disagree completely on boy names...

I did see a thread but it had over 500 posts on it! Didn't know where to start!

How is your pregnancy going at the moment? How does it compare to previous two?

I'm not pg but thought I'd share that with my DD I was paranoid about lots of things, never thought it'd work out but it did and she's now a very mobile 7 1/2 month old. It's completely normal to be worried. It's all new and you don't know what's normal or not.

A few days after we found out I was pg, I came home to find a list of names DP had written. They seemed like such weird names and I only liked a couple out of about 60. I showed my mum this crazy list of names and she informed me these names were pretty much all Beatles-related! Needless to say I told him where he could shove his names and we didn't go for any of them! Grin

Good luck with the pregnancy, I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine. Smile

Oh and just go and introduce yourself on that December first-timers thread. or the thread on the antenatal board.

They won't mind you turning up. I joined the september thread after my DD was born, and even now there about 8 months we still get new people coming along and are always very welcoming! The support of others in the same situation is invaluable. Grin

first pregnancy soooo exciting, mind you they all are really, I have a DS age 6 and a DD age 4 (I am age 44) and I had an unplanned pregnancy Nov 09 but had a MMC at 12 weeks devastating and thought we had completed our family although was in two minds whether to try again and lo and behold while contemplating it just happened and I am 7 weeks today due Christmas Eve but will have 1/2 weeks earlier as already had two emergency sections so this one will be a planned section unfortunately. This pregnancy so far much like my others although prob most similar to when pg with DS (evening nausea, sore sore boobs, craving ice pops and anything ice and light headed) with DD I was craving chips chips chips (hence weight gain almost 4 stone oops) and had nausea in morning! I am just so scared of another MMC so have asked for an earlier scan if poss. I have had fabulous pregnancies felt fabulous and looked great and worked right up to birth but just can't get em out by myself!!! I would have loved to have had them naturally (with drugs of course). One way to solve the name prob is you get to pick girls and he gets to pick boys, my DH picked our DS (George) and I picked middle name (Nicholas) and I picked our DD (Ava Tigerlily) I did want her middle name as first name but so many people gave me a negative response it put me off so be conscious of that as some people so rude, after all it's your baby you can choose what you want! I'd like William Arthur if another boy (reminiscent of royal wedding but Arthur also my dads name and he passed away 3 years ago) I also like Oscar and Nelly from last time but DH says she get called smelly nelly at school!!

forgot say this pregnancy am so so soooo tired didn't notice last times around, thought my age a factor but not according to other posts! what girls name you agreed on??

MummytobeLizz · 07/05/2011 15:49

Hmmm..... I'm only 25 and I'm exhausted!!!

We have definitely decided on Emily Catherine... sounds awful but at three weeks we named 'bump' Emmy the Embryo and then we sort of felt a name had to reflect the 'in joke'... Catherine was my Great Grandmothers name - and I love it!!

LOVE the name Grin are you going to find out what you're having? I loved knowing both times as we were then waiting to meet 'george' then 'ava' instead of the baby if that makes sense!

I'm so glad your early scan was reassuring Mummytobe. I've been extremely scared and anxious ever since I found out I was pregnant. My due date is 21/12 and I am 7 weeks pg so I think you are 7 weeks too. Congratulations!

My DH and I had an early scan at the early pregnancy clinc as I have had severe pain since 4 weeks but it was great to see the fluttering heartbeat. We have named it nutty - because it looked like a peanut!

Apart from the pain I have also been extremely tired and moody...being pregnant is my excuse for the moodiness anyway!!

MummytobeLizz · 07/05/2011 18:30

littlestressy here here... although I generally do feel bad tempered!!

Hope you and nutty are ok... I have been trying to de-stress... sooo not working...

Have you had any breakthrough bleeding at all?? Thats my biggest worry... natural period would have been over by monday. hoping the bleeding goes away by then... or more stress!

I haven't had any bleeding (touch wood) which is a relief with the amount of pain I have had. Found my early scan very reassuring and I think seeing that little heartbeat is a great sign.

My SIL had spotting and bleeding all the way through her first trimester and has 1 lovely little girl and is 7 1/2 months pg at moment. My early pregnancy clinic were great and told me to come back for another scan/check up/chat if I got at all worried; can you do that in your clinic?

My GP has also been really good, I'm sure he thought "Oh no...hysterical woman" but he let me talk about my fears (the pain signalling something bad), let me have a good cry and just tried to reassure me. My DH has also been great and we had a good chat last night; he's been really worried but didn't want to stress me out!!

I think it's a really good idea to talk about your worries; either to husband/partner or close friends or the people on here, everyone has really supportive advice.

Keep Emmy warm!!
