Positive Pregnancy Test A Week After LLETZ Procedure - Worried!!

Hi All, a month ago I had a smear test that showed abnormalities, I then had to have a Colposcopy, results showed CIN3 & a week ago had to have LLETZ procedure done with local anaesthetic. The procedure in itself very pain free, I experienced the most minute ammount of bleeding after & have just had some slight discharge. Before the proceure they were aware that I am not on the pill and advised my gynecologist my period was due in a few days.
However I have not come on my period and have this morning done a Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test which has shown as Pregnant 1-2 weeks. I couldn't be happier about this as we are currently trying for a baby, however I am slightly anxious, is this result just showing pregnant because my hormones may be all over the place or because of the LLETZ, or if I am actually pregnant will haveing the LLETZ procedure be harmful in anyway?
Any help or advise would be so gratefully received.
Thank-you in advance xx

I found this thread which all seem to give positive stories.

I suppose there is a slight risk of miscarriage, but the postitive test means you are definitley pregnant at the moment. There is nothing in the procedure that could make the test postiive.

Congrats on your pregnancy and wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.

Congratulations! Whereas I can't speak from any experience (other than falling off my bike and whacking my hip quite hard the day before my BFP with DD... not in the same league I know) it sounds as though your pregnancy and baby should be fine Smile

Good luck as the morning sickness begins to strike [evil grin emoticon]
