Help! I've forgotten everything!

It's been nearly three years since I had a newborn and I've just realised I've forgotten it all. I mean everything! I was passed a friend's 8 week old the other day and had no idea what to do with it.

And then I watched that Is Breast Best thing on Sky+ and I needed to burst into tears at the memory of the crying in the night and the pain. And if I've lost memories like that, how the heck am I going to manage. Argh!

I have no recollection of the correct way to latch a baby on. Or dress it (I think the current method of wrestling I use with DD may cause serious injury to a baby). Or hold them. Or how to stop them crying. And baths, phew!

Tell me it will come back and I won't be a newbie again! Shock

I'm hoping it comes back to you (and I am actually thinking it will) as my DD is 11.5 now :)

I'm sure it will come back to you but the midwife / health visitor are there to support you aswell, especially on the breastfeeding stuff. I'm a first timer so am hoping for a bit of guidance!!

Just had dd3 after a 3.5 year age gap. I still dress by wrestling and profuse sweating - mine not the baby Grin The holding, jiggling, cooing, kissing and gazing in wonderment came back no problem at all. Don't tell anyone but I don't bath her that often Blush.

I had my DS 9 years ago and no 2 is due in 12 days and I too have forgotten almost everything.
I'm not panicking at the moment and am kind of telling myself it's
Just like riding a bike, it'll all come flooding back!!

I hope! Confused
