Hi Hollin, I had this recently and ask your MW as to whether you could get another scan. Although this will not give a definative(sp) weight of the baby, it may give some idea.

My mw referred to my baby as a giant, we had a scan which suggested his weight would be around 9ilb ish and they offered to induce me. I declined this but wish I had as he weighed 10ilbs and it was difficult. Also DS1 weighed 8ilbs 5oz at birth.

Hope this helps

Good luck

Ask for growth scan if you're concerned. I measured big the whole way through first pregnancy and when I'd been in labour for a couple days at home (wanted a homebirth), the 'size of the baby' was used as a reason I should go to hospital....she was 7lb12 so pretty normal! So you can measure big for other reasons than just big baby, if you're worried ask for a growth scan.

I know this sounds rude... Are you at all overweight befre pregnancy?
If so, you will measure bigger.
If not, crap midwife should have given you more info. Extra scan, to check fluid and size and possibly diabetes test.
Don't panic just yet ! Keeping calm is all important. X
