Strange pain - Does anyone know if I need to get it checked out?

I am aware that I might be a bit OTT with anything to do with this pregnancy, after a stillbirth I am quite paranoid, so please forgive me if this sounds silly.

Over the past couple of days I've experienced a pain near my naval. It's like a pulled muscle, but sometimes burns. It's in a very specific area, about two inches across, feels near to the surface of the skin. It hurts more when I walk, especially pushing a pushchair or trolley. Might I have just pulled a muscle, or could it be something baby related?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Ah thanks for the link Livin, but I don't think it's that' I had round ligament pain last time and it was nothing like it. It's really specific in area and quite constant, just gets worse when walking.

I'm 32 weeks now btw.

i'm 33 weeks now, and have been getting a pulling pain in the top of my bump. I said to the MW,it's not like a crampy pain, more a puliing pain, worse when I stand up, and I have to bend over.
she assured me it was normal, strong muscles being pulled by baby as she is very high up.

Don't know if that sounds like it, but mention it to your mw anyway to put your mind at rest.

I've been experiencing burning pain- almost like internal sunburn im thinking it could be diastasis recti but im self diagnosing check my thread on it to c if your is similar to mine.

I'm 31 weeks and have something similar, an ache that feels almost like bruise just to the left of my navel. I got the same thing last pregnancy which came and went on and off over the last few weeks. Does that sound like the same thing?

I had the same sort of pain about two inches to the right of my belly button. I found that if I was hunched over it wasn't too bad but if I got up, i could hardly walk! After it lasting a whole day, I phoned the midwife who told me that it sounded a lot like stretching As there was no blood/discharge/broken waters etc she said that it sounded normal and not to worry. Hope everythings ok xx

LoopyLoopsBettyBoops · 05/05/2011 21:22

Thank you all. :)

It does sound very similar to all the others, so I guess it's muscular and nothing to worry about.

I'm not seeing the community midwives after I complained about them at booking in, so have been feeling a little stuck as to who to call for inane advice!

Thanks. :)
