my mother's nagging me - any advice?

Yesterday I had an early scan which showed I'm 6 weeks, and they found a heartbeat. A real relief after 2 MMCs.
My mother is already on my back at every opportunity - am I taking enough iron/milk ... am I taking it easy etc.
I know she's worried (as we are) because of my previous, but it's going to drive me round the bend. I don't want to shut her out but it might come to that!

Anyone faced this or got any ideas that might help?

Ignore her.

You'll get used to that over the coming years - listen to what you want to, ignore what you don't. Grin

Congratulations.

A very good reason why I don't tell anyone til 12 weeks...

And, yes, ignore her. You are now public property though, you do realise that?!

Tell her you have had advice from the docs and are following it to the letter!

If she's offering to do your shopping and housework and a fair amount of cooking to make sure you are looking after yourself properly then take full advantage. Makes her feel included and sets you up for an involved Grannie. If not then tell her you appreciate her concern for her daughter and future grandchild and then do your own thing.

Unfortunately she lives too far away to do shopping and housework things for us. Otherwise, I could milk it until she got fed up - result!

I've never been public property, and I'm really not happy with the idea. Doh!

I would get her into doing research into something very dull/ long winded ie mattresses, monitors or car seats?
