Had a week from hell - crying at work constantly - just feeling really low for no reason - come home a bit early - really feels like the blues - will this get better??? :(

Well, I'm 35 weeks and a crying mess. I've found that it has come and gone. Sorry if that's not reassuring. On a more positive note, though, I felt almost instantly less of a crying mess once DD was born, so am (trying to be) confident that it'll be the same this time around.

But pregnancy hormones aside, is there something specific at work getting you down? Is there anything you or a manager/supervisor could do to help? Or if it really is that bad, could you take a few days off?

Just feeling like I am not on top my game at work by any stretch of the imagination - need some reassurance from my bosses but although they have seen me emotional all week have offered no support - just making me paranoid - headteacher came into today and said she wanted a meeting to talk about who is going to do my job - I got teary but she just laughed it off as hormones and said she would see me tomorrow.

Sounds rough. I hope it goes well with the headteacher tomorrow. Do you think you could use the meeting to ask for a bit of reassurance or support?

Jill- I was exactly the same a few weeks ago. Ended up completely falling apart and sobbing at a colleague for no real reason but I was in bits. At the time it felt normal now I am mortified. I am now 20 weeks and am feeling a lot more together.

Jill72 I do think that being low and emotional in pregancy is very common. In fact I was even warned about it at my booking appointment and told to mention to my midwife if I was feeling low.
