Hi, I dont know about you all but i feel like im getting a inferiority comlex thats attached to my pregnancy. I feel like every other female looks more attractive than me! i feel so fat and ugly and im not motivated to go anywhere. To make things worse the clothes in the market make me look like i might as well have worn a large rubbish bag! What do i need, an image stylist, treatment, or just something to make me look and feel good???

I know what you mean. I dont really look pregnant yet, just fat and I feel very self-conscious about it. I keep patting my stomach so that people realise I am actually pregnant. I'm not yet big enough for mat wear but all my nice clothes dont fit so I am left with tracky bottoms, leggings and baggy jumpers. If you find domething that makes you feel good, let me know.

Yes - same here. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I felt just the same with the first one. I think I've just resigned myself to feeling this way (for the rest of the pregnancy and a good few months afterwards)...

It might well help to tackle those things which you can do something about rather than those you can't (i.e. expanding waistline). A posh hair cut in a swanky salon might have an uplifting effect.

I'm going to try it anyway

me too.... I've always been overweight, but over the last year had lost 3 stone and was starting to feel like I looked quite good - had bought lots of new clothes 2 - 3 sizes smaller.

But as soon as I got pregnant my body shape's changed almost instantly - I've only put on a few pounds, but feel all fat and frumpy again. I'm finding it quite hard to accept (after a year of dieting) that putting weight on is now OK.... I'm only 14 weeks pregnant but already in some maternity clothes, as my smallest clothes are starting to get tight.

I suppose I'm a bit down about it as I don't think I'll get a lovely neat bump - I think my overall large size will mean I just get bigger all over!

Right, moan over - I keep reminding myself I've wanted to be pregnant for so long that I really shouldn't be grumbling about the way I look - it's silly really....

Bunny2 (and everyone else) - I was staring to feel like that, but I decided to dig out all my proper maternity gear and it makes me feel much better! I probably wasn't quite fat enough for it, but it lets everyone else know I'm preg and looks smarter than some of my everyday stretchy clothes.

Maybe I need a haircut too though.

I always feel better if I've got make up on. Why not buy some new simple clothes for winter but spend lots on some fabby costume jewellery? Or fantastic shoes?

funnily enough I slapped some make up on this morning for the first time in months! Must be my subconscious telling me to make an effort!
