Baby on overdrive

I'm due in 3 weeks... is it normal for baby to be more active than normal at this stage, I thought they moved around less. For the last 2 days this little one hasnt stopped wriggling, quite violently sometimes! and it seems easily disturbed... like if i touch/pat/stoke bump it moves around instantly. It's probably normal but I thought I'd ask you all if yours is/was the same.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm due in less then 3 weeks too, though she will be born earlier, and my god the wriggling!!! It HURTS!!! Sometimes I can feel her spinning on her head as if she's breakdancing.

I think that as there is less room to move you feel it more rather than they actually move more iykwim?

Both of mine were football players..honest..it was horrendous I had a girl aswell!

My baby hardly moved at all. It got very worrying at one stage. Then a week before my due date baby woke up and wouldn't stop squirming. A few days later my labour started and through the entire labour he kept on turning around, it made it very painful.

So maybe its a sign of baby getting ready to arrive, like mine. Good luck!

I just remembered you are booked for a section in three weeks when I assume you'll be 38 weeks, so lets hope baby isn't trying to escape this soon! Keep your legs crossed.

ooooh thanks! its normal then! you're right pie... it does hurt too! theres one movement that feels like a golf ball that jabs out on the right hand side all the time! its very strange being able to identify which lumps are certain body parts!

bekki - i was worried for the same reason - my edd is just under 4 weeks but section just under 3 so was worrying that baby was trying to nudge its way out earlier
and i had a curry last night.... and theres a pineapple in the kitchen needs eating! and I'm not trying to make this baby arrive early.. have only started maternity leave this weekend!

We think she's recovering from a C section, Spod - possibly a day early - she had a panic on here on Wed evening and hasn't been heard from since.
