Snap Enid. I feel like pulling a sickie most days but don't / can't. Felt awful this morning, everything so hard, like swimming uphill through custard, but I'm here, sat at my desk, yawning my head off, eyes aching in their sockets.

Bethron - that is what I am off with at the moment Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Its not getting any better although I understand it can get better by week 20 (I am only 14 wks ATM). I am worried about becoming dehydrated as even drinking mkes me gag now.

I was off for most of mine (in fits and starts, I had about a month in one whole block, and the rest was all 2 week stints and random days).

It was HG for me too.

Yes someone at work had the whole of her pregnancy off with this and spent a few spells in hospital. Very grim

Poor poor you helsi

madmarchflare · 07/11/2005 15:26

expatinscotland · 07/11/2005 15:27

I keep playing the fking lotto.

I'm swollen, my damn anaemia is STILL not under control and I feel like utter crap.

But noooooo . . . 34 weeks and counting.

popsycal · 07/11/2005 15:30

me

popsycal · 07/11/2005 15:31

didnt work after week 19 and had random days of between 8-18 weeks too

shhhh · 07/11/2005 16:25

I was off work until around 14 weeks and then I finished work at around 26 weeks. During that time I did have time off sick....given my history I didn't want to risk anything. I was also quite ill thus took the time off.

TBH the way dh & i saw it was that your and baby's health is more important. You can't.shouldn't be sacked for being pregnant and if you are then action needs to be taken. I kept owrrying about what my work would say as I had already been dragged into HR following my mc's and time I had off due to them. Basically I didn't give a dam..In fact I would have loved 'em to sack me as I so wanted to stay at home anyway. I couldn't give a dam. I just wanted to sleep!!

BTW I'm not going back .

I had weeks at a time off, until about 5m when I was signed off for a couple of months, and then started my maternity leave (of my own accord - got fed up of getting sick notes).

I had severe migraines so was unable to do my job which involved travelling a couple of hours a day and auditing!

Towards the end I was admitted to hospital weekly for pain relief for the migraines. Ended up with PIH and pre-eclampsia

Fingers crossed only one migraine in last eight weeks
