lol i'm having a boy and mine is falling out... i was gorilla pre pregnancy due to pcos

WiiUnfit · 03/05/2011 23:20

Also have a hairy tummy here, we don't know what we're having so no confirmation of any theories from me!

Mine is full of tiny blonde hairs, like mad professor stuck up hairs. Hmm

JazzAnnNonMouse · 03/05/2011 23:21

oh we're opposites how funny!!
I'm tempted to try some hair removal but worried it'll come back worse...
do you reckon it'll go away after I've popped /yours will come back again when you pop?

I have some blonde hairs but also a few really long dark ones too, my theighs which I normally don't shave because they're pretty much hairfree have suddenly sprouted lots and lots of blonde hair... argh

lol probably. My body hair is falling out but my facial, underarm and head hair is going mad.... i'm a mass of curls on my head but I have lovely bald patches on my legs, arms and stomach... pregnancy is lovely.

jimper · 03/05/2011 23:28

Me too! I read somewhere that it goes away if you just leave it....fun fun fun!

apricotears · 03/05/2011 23:37

Sporting a hairy belly too; it's really gross and makes me feel VERY unfeminine Blush I am HOPING it disappears once baby arrives.... otherwise my body shall never see a bikini again!!!

InMyPrime · 03/05/2011 23:57

Yep, I've sprouted a lot of downy blonde hair on my bump as well (am 18 weeks). It freaked me out a bit at first but it's still pretty invisible because it's blonde so fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse. It is a bit unfeminine but I'm hoping it's not permanent and just means I'm having a boy or something.

Am on tenterhooks re gender as we had an early anomaly scan last week but couldn't see the relevant bits as baby's legs were crossed with the cord in the way of our view Grin

CrazyAlien06 · 04/05/2011 07:31

Hairy belly here too and I don't know what I'm having. Hopefully it will go as aiming to get back into a bikini again at some point in the future lol x

rightontime · 04/05/2011 07:53

Not to upset anyone but I got lots of long dark hairs when pregnant with DS1 and they have never gone away. Now expecting DC3.

Just wax them every so often but then by belly will never see the light of day in public so I am not really bothered. Likewise my thighs which I never shave suddenly got darker, thicker hairs since PG 1

JazzAnnNonMouse · 04/05/2011 08:35

oh rubbish! I was hoping lots of people would tell me it'll fall out lol!

Didn't know there was a connection between boy baby testosterone and hair growth but would make sense in my case.also 22weeks pg with ds and got very dark hairy belly. Strangely hairgrowth in other parts seems to have decreased,ie on legs etc.
Am not too worried about the belly at the moment as I'm hoping it'll just disappear after baby is born but lets keep our fingers crossed.
For now dh calls me lovingly (and cheekily) the Mama Bear.

MummyBerryJuice · 04/05/2011 08:40

My belly hair dissappeared after DS was born but it's back now. I kind of like it. Fuzzy and soft. And DS (16 months) likes to stroke it Grin

onesuzymac · 04/05/2011 08:58

Hairy belly here too Blush - was slightly so pre-pregnancy, but really showing off now!

WiiUnfit · 05/05/2011 14:28

I have to admit I shaved mine Blush It just grew back (but thankfully didn't get worse!)

Does it have anything to do with whether the baby has hair? Our sonographer burst out laughing at a recent growth scan as she could actually see that DC (due June) has tons of thick hair! Shock

G1nger · 05/05/2011 14:35

I have this too - a mixture of downy blonde hair and darker crab ladder... I mentioned it to my partner a few weeks ago, and he kindly informed me that I'm also the same on my lower back (!!!). I can only hope it all goes away again... Oh and I found out today I'm having a boy.

WiiUnfit · 05/05/2011 19:37

Grin Crab ladder!

I've heard it called a garden path & a snail trail but that's new one on me!

G1nger · 05/05/2011 22:02

WiiUnfit - I laugh whenever anyone calls it a snail trail... because a snail trail is actually (at least where I come from - Wales) something very different!

theonlyhb2 · 05/05/2011 22:23

me too, i waxed mine off, i was shocked

EveryonesJealousOfGingers · 05/05/2011 22:31

Ha ha it's one of the many things nobody warns you about!!! I wasn't esp hairy as such but when I was about 7mths pg I suddenly discovered a single hair on my bump that was almost two inches long!!!! Shock I plucked it a couple of times but in hindsight I wish I had cultivated it to see how long it got! Keep checking back (DD is 15mo) and sadly no sign of it returning.

WiiUnfit · 05/05/2011 22:42

G1nger, I am so tempted to google the Welsh meaning but something is telling me not to... Grin

G1nger · 06/05/2011 18:52

It's um.. related to what's in your pants ;) Come on, small stretch of the imagination...

JazzAnnNonMouse · 06/05/2011 19:32

nice... Grin
