I fell over at work yesterday - hit the ground hard and brusied both knees - tried to put a brave face on and carried on with the day. No -one in senior leadership seemed bothered. I went to hospital this morning - everything okay but on return to work felt very emotional and teary - reported in to my line manger ,(man), holding back the tears and nothing - no asking if I was okay, did I need some time to get myself together ect.... just feel like they all think I am being over emotional - CAN'T HELP MY EMOTIONS! Had to go right back in and pick up my next class feeling bloody awful. JUST WANT TO GO HOME...

if you don't feel well, go home.
insist on writing it into the accident book.

I fell over in my second pregnancy at work also, in the car park, it was very embarrassing. I had the opposite, really, lots of people fussing over me, but I was so mortified that I just wanted everyone to pretend it had never happened.

It would have been nice if they had been a little bit more concerned and considerate, but as long as everything is OK, I'd let it go.

Obviously unless you are unwell.

Have a virtual hug Jill! I am sure it's not that nobody cares, just they don't understand. My DH is clueless enough and he lives with me! :) The main thing is that you are ok and baby is ok. Understand you feel shaken up and upset. I go through bouts of feeling nobody gives a stuff how I'm feeling but they do really, it's just us feeling v sensitive & people living in their own little worlds. Just be good to yourself when you get home & get a nice early night.

I remember being at work (I work in a male industry) years ago when a big metal ceiling light fell on my head, from above my desk and I was bleeding. My manager called me to his office, I thought, to check what happened but no....he wanted a meeting to discuss the project!Didn't even put it off when I had a wad of tissue clasped to my bleeding scalp!! MEN are dopey sometimes. ;)

Do put it in accident book tho. I agree.

Thats awful... If you are feeling shook up over it i'd go home. Rest up for a day. Have a sofa day and eat some nice things and chat on phone with family/friends.

How far along are you?
