nannyl, my scan's today as well, and I'm working on the assumption that if they haven't told me to bring one, they don't want one. In my PCT, the scans and midwife appointments are done completely separately -- the scans at the hospital, the midwife appointments out of the local GP surgery. I've only had to take urine to the midwife appointments so far.

thanks urban daisy....
its the same for me... i see midwife at Drs surgary
Scans at local hospital
any other in patient or specialist hospital ante-natal / post-natal care in a different hospital a good 40 mins away.

will assume i dont need one, unless other posters say otherwise. If i do, well i always need a wee anyway!

nope, not unless it is combined with a consultant/midwife appointment.

I don't but it depends if you are seeing anyone else at the same time. But you can always do one whilst your there if needed.

The letter for my 20 wk scan doesn't mention it and also says you dont need to have a full bladder.

Good luck with it :D are u finding out what you are having?x

nannyl · 03/05/2011 10:01

my letter tells me i need to drink a pint of liquid 1st.

at least my sickness is better than it was at 12 week scan when drinking more than a sip of anything made me vomit!

how did it go nannyl?

NeverKissPigs · 03/05/2011 17:02

I had mine on Friday. Was also pleased that you didn't have to have a full bladder. For the 12wk scan they were running 2hrs late and I was bursting for the loo.

How did it go?
