Linea Nigra - when did yours appear?

I'm only 12+3 today so no bump yet, although I can't suck my tummy in anymore.

I thought the linea nigra would appear when the bump developed, but I've already got a faint brown line - is that normal?

When did yours first start to appear?

27+5 and no sign yet - think i may have escaped! but then again, probably speaking too soon! not sure when it appears...

I never got one with DD, and was really disappointed(!)

So yes, not everyone gets them.

Can't remember exactly, but with DC1 it appeared some time after 28 weeks. Took a heck of a long time to disappear after the pregancy too, and is still faintly there, 7 years later

However, it never got darker again when I was prenant with DC2 - it was still a hangover from DC1, rather than a fresh line, which I found a bit odd.

From about 16wks with me was very dark and didn't go straight after birth. Only 6wks into this pregnancy so got that to come yet.

I wouldn't worry about it - they're odd things, don't think it matters when they appear or why...

I remember seeing our youngish GP during my first pregnancy. He commented on my distinct line. News to me, I thought, then told him that the line had been caused by my tights. Cue one embarrassed doc (but still the best in the practice)
Never did get a line.

I've always had a faint one running down from under my belly button even before pregnancy. I always used to joke with DH that maybe I was abducted by aliens and had some body parts stolen !

Now that I'm pregnant, the line has got darker and it now extends all the way up. Not really sure when that happened though (I'm 38+2).. Hopefully it'll fade away after.. at least from above my belly button..

I've had a twins pregnancy and a singleton pregnancy and didn't get one either time. Didn't get stretch marks either though! We're all different so not everyone's body responds to pregnancy in the same way.

i am as pale as pale gets and I don't have one at 20 weeks.

at about 23-24 weeks... my skin is fair to olive... the line is dark, though... my mom never had one, so not sure if this is genetic...

Im palest of the pale and DH thinks I have one i'm 23-24 weeks and he's only just noticed. I can't see it from looking down but if I look at our weekly bump pics which are taken in black and white, I can see it! its faint though.
