Because i have a tendency to deliver rather quick, 45 mins with dd, ds was a controlled birth that lasted 6 hours, this birth will be managed the same as with ds but without an epidural so hoping it will be around 3 hours !! well i'm hopeful :) he's a big baby too :o

34+5 here. Am VERY frustrated at the moment as I can't ever get comfy and I am having trouble doing things that just a couple of weeks ago I didn't even think about such as bending over to put socks on, now I am trying all kinds of positions to get my feet close enough to my hands to get them on.

The position that baby's feet are in prevent me even leaning far enough forward to eat my dinner from the plate in comfort as they stick right up into my diaphram. Am considering using some of her bibs as there WILL be spillage very soon!

And as for sleeping, well, I've forgotten what that is. Thank goodness I start annual leave tomorrow before maternity leave begins!!! Hmmm whinge over! :o

I'm 33+4 and I am also feeling quite uncomfortable now. I have been making an effort to walk quite a long way every day to try and stay fit. But I'm beginning to wonder if agreeing to work until 38 weeks was a bit foolish! Oh well it is only 16 working days as I have booked all the Wednesdays off! Woo. I am also getting very annoyed with aching hips in bed.

Anyone started their perineal massage yet? I'm not looking forward to that much...but better than the dreaded tearing I suppose!

LDNlady · 02/05/2011 17:29

Nope!! Not been able to bring myself to start that yet! :-/ Oh and aching hips? I feel your pain, literally! :(

Booboostoo · 02/05/2011 21:27

34 and 4 here and feeling rubbish! I am waddling around everywhere at the speed of a turtle on sedatives, week 32 saw a return of the dreaded nausea (why????), I can really feel my B-H contractions, plus muscle cramps, constant peeing, waking up in the middle of the night and back ache....apparently some women really enjoy being pregnant!

Im 34+5 and I feel all your pain. Im fed up, grumpy, tired, everything hurts and I really feel for my DH.

To top it off I feel like I have ages to go and I know its just going to drag on and on! This will be the longest 6 weeks of my life. Waiting and more waiting.

Its not going to get easier either is it?

Hi all, just wanted to say that at about 34 weeks I felt terrible, couldn't imagine getting to 40! Tired, sick, sore, achey, etc etc. Now 37 and feeling so much better, it's very odd! Have spoken to a couple of friends who say they experienced a dip then too.

Boogiemumma · 03/05/2011 01:40

Helloo, 34 weeks and can't sleep 1.35 and I need to be up at 6 with DS. Mind is racing all the time with what I need to do and buy and organise before DD1 arrives. Am so uncomfortable as well! Hip pain, back ache can't find a comfy sleeping position and when I do get off I'll wake almost every hour having to turn over. Having ELCs in 4-5 weeks and it seems ages away. Still it'll be worth it, can't wait to meet my baba girl :)
