Allergic reaction, what can I do?

Had really sore face last few days. Feels sunburnt but it isn't had a few random spots come up too. I feel like I've had some sort of chemical peel. Face feels tight but not dry.
I'm not sure what has caused this. Not used anything new or eaten anything different/new.

What can I do? It feels alot worse than it looks.

Tia

If it's an allergic reaction I'd try some antihistamine cream. I had something similar a few days ago. I think it might have been sunburn. It's much better now. Once the irritation subsided I exfoliated and moisturised until the roughness and puffiness went away.

However, you might want to call your GP first to check what they think.

This is the advice from the Netdoctor site on the use of Anthisan - one of the main brands (Boots & Lloyds do their own version) - during pregnancy:

'This medicine may be absorbed through the skin in small amounts. Its safety for use during pregnancy has not been established. If you are pregnant you should only use this medicine on the advice of a doctor.'

Thank you so much for your post.
I'll call the doc tomorrow and check it out.
I haven't been lucky enough to be the sun so know it's not that.
It's not even really puffy. Skin is soft and tight. Really itchy under my jaw line.
Will stick with bathing in camomile tea and calamine lotion. Only thing that seems to soothe it.
