Been having really strong BHs for ages.

Afew nights of false starts with real contraction like pains.

Been having a show for 3 days now with constant period cramps and just that odd 'open' feeling down there that is early labour.

Constant tightenings.

Finding it hard to relax at night as the pains start up and then I'm 'expecting' something to start up or my waters to pop or something.

Am bloody nervous about labour too so feels like its really dragging out.

:(

How far over are you?

Try and relax TotorosOcarina, from what I recall from your other thread, I don't think you even at your due yet??

If you're feel scared, anxious and/or stressed, labour will stall as there will be too much adrenaline pumping through your body....Maybe it will help if you just trust that baby will come when he/she is ready. It might help if you try and distract yourself by maybe watching a film or having a sunbathe?

It's my due date today and I am just trying to relax as much as possible by keeping my mind off the 'when will my labour start' question. It is hard though, when every BH or twingey cramp sets your mind racing. It's important to try and not to be consumed by it though, as I know that can be counterproductive.

Good-luck and try to relax...Smile

Its not the fact I'm overdue. I'm not. its the fact I'm having labour like 'symptoms' all day everyday. if nothing were happening i'd be fine with that as i'm in no major rush, but having these pains, show etc for days is starting to get old and if its starting then i wish it would get a move on as its pretty hard to ignore contractions and jelly in yer keckers!!

Sometimes when you get close to your due date it's gets like that though, doesn't it?

I also had 'a show' 2 weeks ago, and been having regular, very annoying uncomfortable Braxton Hicks...but unfortunately it doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent- As I'm finding out!

It is frustrating though, I do sympathise. Just meant that It's best to TRY and relax as there is not much anyone can do to speed things up (short of induction) and there's no use in stressing yourself out. Hope your LO doesn't keep you waiting to long!
