I'm going to complain. I want a refund!

Blandmum · 05/11/2005 17:47

I can understand how that feels, i second guessed myself all the way through both my pgs and only had one mc. one was more than enough. 5 must be awful

aloha · 05/11/2005 17:49

How awful to have 5 miscarriages. However, this book does sound rather strange, and the information is wrong. Just thought it was worth pointing out as people get very paranoid and guilty in pregnancy if they think they have eaten the wrong thing.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 05/11/2005 17:50

5 MC and you are still sane, I take my hat off to you.

I only had one and a full term and I still think of the other little lamb despite having my DS, so well done you for staying sane.

peepee · 05/11/2005 17:50

If I went by the book and consultant I would have to avoid,
Peas
Soy foods
Saccharin
Peanut Butter (yummmmmmmyy)
Spinach
Soda
Salami ( yeah, right!) I love it.
Frankfurters

The list is endless.......

edam · 05/11/2005 17:51

Peas are good for pregnant women as they contain folic acid. The contraceptive stuff sounds like rubbish.

peepee · 05/11/2005 17:51

I'm not sane........ Whatever gave you that idea

aloha · 05/11/2005 17:52

Ah, soy is different to soy sauce (which is nearly all water!). I have seen peas promoted as a fertility-booster (valuable amino acids plus folic acid).

How are you now Peepee?

peepee · 05/11/2005 17:52

THATS IT THE EFFIN BOOK GOES ON THE BONFIRE TONIGHT

aloha · 05/11/2005 17:52
Grin
Blandmum · 05/11/2005 17:53

Why spinach? Why soda water?

I got half way through pg number 2 (post mc) when they came out with the prohibition on peanut butter.

Blandmum · 05/11/2005 17:54

Does it prohibit bonfires PP???

Skyler · 05/11/2005 17:55

Peepee, I totally admire your sense of humour having been through what you have! I hope you didn't take my comments the wrong way.

peepee · 05/11/2005 17:55

I'm starting one just for the book. Will sort out the consultnat on Tuesday!

cori · 05/11/2005 17:55

Peepee , there was some research published recently that suggested you should avoid soya products if you are experiencing difficulties trying to concieve.

How are you getting on anyway?

peepee · 05/11/2005 17:57

You guys sound as though you know what you are talking about. Any chance you could put a list of foods together for me and hopefully it'll work.

peepee · 05/11/2005 17:58

AF has just stopped after the last m/c in sept. DH and I are at it again I'll just have to wait and see.

Skyler · 05/11/2005 18:02

Fingers crossed for you!

aloha · 05/11/2005 18:49

Have you seen a specialist in recurrent miscarriages? Is that who your consultant is? I presume you've had tests to try and find out why it keeps happening?
Can't imagine how horrible it must be

Lucy1977 · 05/11/2005 22:03

Hi

Spinach is also on Peepee's list of foods to avoid - anyone know anything about that?
I've been eating it once a wk as one of my "green leafy vegs".

Thanks
Lucy

peepee · 06/11/2005 09:05

Ithink spinach is only a no no if you are trying to conceive. It's OK if you are already pregnant!

Enid · 06/11/2005 09:23

I live on peanut butter, soy sauce, peas and spinach (not altogether - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm). I would avoid sacharrin just because it is gross and salami just because I dont like it very much.

seriously, I love spinach and peas and we eat stir fry type food at least twice a week, I have peanut butter toast every day - no probs concieving. Have had 1 m/c but it was nothing to do with diet.

peepee you are funny though.

peepee · 06/11/2005 13:03

JUST KEEP EATING PLEASEEEEEEEEEE

EAT LOADS AND LOADS OF WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY.

Coathanger · 06/11/2005 13:09

PEEPEE IS NOT SANE - I can confirm that!!

Hehee! got my own back!!

peepee · 06/11/2005 13:18

That's not nice..........
Anyway, u know what they say....It takes one 2 know one.....
