No advice, but you are in the best place now and the hospital staff will be able to monitor the baby.

Fingers crossed all is OK.

I had a minor bleed at 27 weeks (also had a history of MC and first trimester bleeding). It was light and stopped quickly, but I still had to go to hospital to be fully checked over. No cause was ever found - placenta looked fine (I think this is the main thing they will check for, placenta praevia or abruption) and all that they could suggest was a bit of cervical erosion. DS2 arrived last week at 39 weeks, all well. Hope your experience is similar.

I bled at 23 weeks with my triplet pregnancy. Held on to them for another 10 weeks. Grin

Don't those injections bloody hurt!

Oh ladies - amazing. Thanks for your responses. this has been a fraught pregnancy and I was just relaxing and boom!! They sent me home today thankfully as bleeding slowed and I'm back tomorrow for injection no 2. Just want baba to stay in! And yes the visitor the injection did smart!! I was shaking from shock so hubs had to hold me still! Xxx

Just take it easy. Every day that baby cooks is a day stronger, and those steroids are marvelous things. None of my triplets needed ventilating, one of them just needed a c-pap for a few hours.

Was it a heavy bleed and is it continuing? Have they given you iron tabs? I bled from 16 weeks continuously and heavily until I had my baby 7 weeks later (dd is fine now). I know someone else who bled all the way through her pregnancy but went full term. It was explained to me that bleeding for any length of time is risky for mother because you can become anaemic quite quickly - they put me on iron tablets. My advice would be rest, rest, rest. I found that bed rest really did work and every time I went into hospital the bleeding slowed because I could just lie there. From my experience bleeding puts you at greater risk of prem rupture of membranes, so just take it really easy now and look after yourself.

Thanks girls. Had another bleed at 3am this morning. Red, but light with a few clots. Had no pain, and could feel baby moving so decided to wait at home. Off to the hosp soon for 2nd injection - will see what they say.

Don't be surprised if you're kept in on bedrest. Good luck xxx

Hope everything goes ok today regarding the injection.
