With a first baby anything up to 24 weeks is normal for first movements. The very early ones feel like little bubbles popping or like butterflies, that fluttery feeling when you go over a bump in the road.

With my first I hadn't felt anything but then at my 20 week scan he kicked and I felt it, I also got to see it on screen.

You'll feel things before you know it :)

Depends very much on you, the baby and the position of the placenta. But yes with your first you can expect it to be later than 20 weeks but probably by 24 weeks.

I had an anterior placenta with dd and though I felt bubbles and popping at 17 weeks, by 20 weeks she'd moved and was hiding so couldn't feel her for a few weeks.

This time round I have an anterior placenta again but have had definite and obvious kicks from 15 weeks.

Different babies entirely who like entirely different places. This one hides on the left and tap dances on my bladder for fun.
