Could be a urinary tract infection, baby on a nerve or possibly start of contractions (difficult to say without more details). If you're worried, call the 24-hour midwife number. I would say it sounds mostly like nerve pain - take some paracetamol before bed. Hot water bottles can also help.

Good luck x

I just read on baby gaga that it could be the baby dropping into position and pressing on a nerve, x

I'd call midwife asap, just in case.
Hope you're ok :)

hi SavannahRose, I've been to the docs today with sharp pain in my lower right back, Dr said i've torn some ligaments between my ribs due to preg hormones loosening evrything up. Hurts like hell but all she said i could do was take paracetemol. As others have advised, take a couple of paracetemol and go see the dr in the morning, call the 24 hr midwife no. if you're worried.

I had the most horrendous pain for 2 days over the weekend - could only walk holding onto things in agony. Pain came from R buttock area and also went down R leg - shooting pains in thigh and calf. I thought I would be like that for rest of pregnancy (am 35 weeks). However it has totally gone now and consultant today said it was sciatica from babys position on a nerve. So relieved it has gone. Hope yours disappears too.
Lying down, warm baths and hot water bottle helped while the pain was there but I think the baby must have shifted and released pressure on the nerve.
