My partner is self-employed and has been since Jan 2011. We are hoping that he will have 2 weeks off when the baby arrives, I'm due in 6 weeks.
Does anyone know if he will be entitled to any government paternity pay? He wont get it through his employers as he hasnt been there long enough...
Confused!!

He isn't entitled to time off (paternity or parental leave) or pay as he isn't an employee.

Employment law and entitlements are different if you are an employee rather than self employed.
