Am almost 39 weeks.

Today I've been 3 times to empty my bowels and been very loose and also I threw my dinner up Blush

No idea what happened I jutst stopped half way through and lost it all.

Have been very crampy today, strong braxton hicks but also crampy in cervix area.

Am I just wishful thinking?

Sounds like the day I went into labour with DD2 at 39+6 I didn't take it as a sign as I though she would be late as DD1 was. On the positive side she arrived in under an hour.

I hope this is it for you.

TotorosOcarina · 24/04/2011 20:18

Under an hour? bloody hell.

I'd like a little more time than that!

Who knows, I've been having v strong BH and cervical area cramps for days, baby is taking absolutely no notice Hmm

Fingers crossed this is it for you though Smile

skewiff · 24/04/2011 20:36

I am 40 weeks this Wednesday and have been having nausea, cramps, BH and all sorts of bits and bobs for about 2 weeks now.

I do notice though that on days when I'm stillish at home and not doing a lot of walking nothing much happens. On days when I'm out and about I get many more symptoms.

I'm at the stage now where I really want something to happen. So wonder if I should be going out and about as much as possible - or will it just come when its ready anyway?

TotorosOcarina · 24/04/2011 20:39

find the opposit!

I walk alot anyways - no car, so when I have a lazy day I seem to get stuff going on!

I'm also 40 weeks on Wednesday and have been having the same kind of thing. Loose bowels, strong braxton hicks, cramps, thigh pains etc but none of it seems to develop into anything. This is my first so don't really know what I'm doing and hoping that labour will be obvious when it happens! Good luck ladies, hope all goes ok when it happens!

bringmesunshine2009 · 24/04/2011 21:25

I am 39 weeks. Feel sick as a pig, a few twinges, but let's face it even tho number 2 am sure I will be late. Just as well, I only packed the bag last night, still need to pack a bag for DS, Oh and sort out all the cupboards and paint the nursery, fit the car seat, finish watching BFing Dvd (refresher course lol), get out steriliser, iron PJs (yes nuts, but will be living in them), yikes and much more besides. Oh rats, batch cooking and wash baby's clothes :/

I hope this is it for you, sounds like things are moving! I am sure you are properly prepared!!! xx

jellyhead188 · 25/04/2011 10:05

don't know, am 39+1 today, had about 4 false alarms/starts so far, this am, needed to go twice and feeling the urge again! am also feeling like I need to excessively tidy up and having contractions but having had so many is this it the last 3 weeks I'm sure it will come to nothing!!! or it will happen when everything is a complete mess!! Hope you get somewhere soon though its so frustrating! we must be due similar times I'm 1st May x

Leilababyno1 · 25/04/2011 12:42

Hey ladies,

I have also been having lots of these annoying symtoms- but nothing 'regular' has developed so far. I am due on 30th April...Woke up this morning with period type pains, then after about 30 minutes they tapered off. Have also been needing to empty my bowels much more regulary than normal and had what I think was 'a show' on Friday night.. This is my first baby.

Very frustrating, but taking it all as good signs that my body is gearing up for the real thing. I am wishfully thinking that these pre labour symtoms, hopefully mean I won't go much overdue...but then again this is probably only 'wishful thinking'...

Good-luck all!

chester21 · 25/04/2011 14:48

sound a lot like what i am going through at the moment too. Getting some strong twinges early morning or late at night wake up feeling nauseous like i did when i first found out i was pregnant. But apart from that i havent had a show yet but i am more damp down there (sorry tmi!!!!) little one is wriggling a lot and pushing in all directions that makes me catch my breath. Could labour be soon i blooming hope so i am 39 weeks on Wednesday.

chester21 · 25/04/2011 14:55

oh and i have gone off my food just not hungry at all just really thirsty

saldoozer · 25/04/2011 15:06

I've been having a lot of the things on this thread today, its good to know i'm not alone, I'm due 4th May and have been getting very fed up if being pregnant. Today i've been having quite a lot of cramps, enough to slow me down but not excessively painful. No nausea but increased bowel movements (although sometimes i'm like that anyway).
This is my first so finding it all a bit confusing I thought it would be more obvious when labour was starting [buconfused]

bringmesunshine2009 · 25/04/2011 20:18

Am 2nd May! I will know when labour proper lol. I remember last time being told I was in labour and I had no idea lol. Until they broke my waters, I went for a little walk, 10 mins later, ooouuuuuuucccchh! Couldn't walk or do anything, just had to stand still, eyes closed, grabbing DH's arm.

So when I feel that ouuuuuccchhh! Again-it's time.

Two weeks prior to due date (which is 27th April) I felt nearly every day pelvic pains and everything people have described.

I was expecting this baby to come early and now it hasn't, suddenly I am feeling no pains or symptoms at all. I actually feel the most mobile and relaxed I have felt throughout the pregnancy and said to DH today that I feel like I'm 6 months pregnant and that birth is not round the corner at all.

Which is sort of worrying because I'm scared it really is not going to happen now and I'll end up being induced.

thefurryone · 25/04/2011 21:59

skewiff sounds very similar to what has been happening to me! I actually thought last night was the night, threw up my dinner, cleared out the other end (ahem Blush) and had what I thought were proper contractions for about an hour. Lay down in a break as it was late and feeling pretty tired and then woke up four hours later to absolutely nothing, today baby has been a bit less wriggly (still moving lots) and apart from being a bit tired due to not really getting back to sleep as I was so pissed off when I woke up very definitely not in labour last night have had barely a twinge.

Due to be induced on 27th, finding it quite hard to stay optomistic.

architien · 26/04/2011 09:04

I'm waiting too (also overdue), getting very disheartened. Been having signs in the last week but maybe this isnt going to start in time.

TotorosOcarina · 26/04/2011 12:13

Well nothing upto now, was having bad BHs all yesterday and towards the evening they got worse,

Went to bed and had a few pains across the tummy, a few times they woke me up.

But zilch this morning!

Am feeling chilled though today and am just getting stuff done.
