little bleed? Should I be worried?

I had an early scan (7ish weeks) this week as I had been having pains and they were worried about ectopic pregnancy or kidney stones. Scan showed all was well inside and I even saw a little heartbeat!

Yesterday. however, I had went to the bathroom and saw blood when I wiped. Bright red. In CM I think. This happened twice yesterday.

I am trying to stay calm and DH is telling me its all normal and 25% of women bleed in forst trimester but I am struggling to take his advice.

Any thoughts?

I would go straight to EPU. Very best of luck.

I should add there are many reasons why you could be bleeding and is IS common and not a bad sign in all cases, but for peace of mind I'd go and check it out.

Are you having cramps?

No cramps. Going to EPU is very tricky as I am on a boat in the middle of nowhere right now.....

No blood yet today...

I had bleeding last frid-wed and had a little more yesterday, been to the dr who just took my blood to check hcg levels (haven't had results back due to easter weekend) - dr said that with such little blood (even on the initial day there was spotting) they would not scan. Perhaps phone nhs24 as gps are closed? If you look at the antenatal due December thread there have been ALOT of woman who have had bleeding, and many who stated they had bleeding in previous pregnancies and everything turned out fine.

ach - ALOT of women

I had four incidences of unexplained, slight bleeding, all red blood, all very frightening at 5, 7, 8 and 9 weeks. My midwife wasn't concerned as it stopped quickly and I had no pain. My scan was on Tuesday and all is well.

If you are very worried then call NHS24 and see what they suggest, stress is bad for you and baby and in my experience they'd always rather someone called and it turned out to be nothing than sat at home worrying.
